Our Statement of Purpose

Prime Support Service plan to provide home and community support services for adults who have learning or physical disabilities, older adults and adults who experience mental ill health. We will enable people to remain in their own homes or within supported living environments hence giving them independence, privacy, choice, and control over their lives.

We will support and empower Service Users to design their own person centred care plans and we strive to deliver support services tailored to meet each individual need. We provide support within the home environment and out in the community, maximising social and leisure activities to the fullest extent. We are more than just support. Our focus is on creating a client centred service, whereby you choose every aspect. Each and every person is unique and different, and it is our aim to accommodate these individual characteristics in an environment that promotes independence and improves quality of life.

Equality/diversity and Human Rights

The Equality Act 2010 ensures that all people have equal rights and are all treated equally and fairly. There are 10 characteristics protected by this legislation: Age, Disability, Gender, Race, Religion and Belief, Pregnancy and Maternity, Marriage and Civil Partnership, Sexual Orientation and Gender Reassignment.

Equality and diversity is an area of our work where we will strive to make sure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity at all times; regardless of their origin, age or background. We will ensure that all Service Users and Staff have the fullest opportunity to freedom of speech; giving them independence, choice and control over their lives. We believe that all people are born equal to one another and should not be judged or mistreated any time. Our aim is to also make sure that it is peoples’ rights to decide on how they want to live and be supported in their own home in non-discriminatory services. All our staff will be trained to enable us all to promote and understand people's needs and wants regardless of who they are.

People are able to use our complaint procedure to make sure that we are able to address, and amend, any concerns immediately. We take the feedback of our clients seriously, and will strive to show you how your feedback has helped to shape the service we are providing.

About Us

Neda Cooney (Director) and Ian Barrett (Registered Manager) have many years of collective experience within the social care sector as Registered Social Workers. They have clear knowledge, understanding and interpersonal skills to work with service users to enable them to have a good quality of life. Both Ian and Neda work within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to plan with service users and identify future services. Some of these consist of:

  • Day Services
  • Supported Living / Home Support
  • Health
  • Education
  • Supported Employment
  • Community Support

We will constantly improve our service by ensuring all staff and management regularly attend in-house and specific training sessions, to keep up to date with all social care policies and procedures. It is our goal to drive our service to the highest possible standard of community support and ensure good value for money.
